During
its 25 year history, The Duncan Group has created numerous projects
for the public school classroom. For nearly two decades, The Duncan
Group was a leading supplier of materials to Chicago-based United
Learning. Today, the entire United Learning library is distributed
through Discovery Education. The Duncan Group also works frequently
on classroom productions for distribution through Chicago-based
Questar, Inc.
Classroom productions include the highly acclaimed series Is
Anyone Listening?, a series of seven shows addressing social
issues impacting teens. Segments of the series, which was produced
in the late 1980s, have been used in approximately 20% of the nation’s
schools. More recent productions include the four-part series How
To Study Culture and the two-part series Civil Rights – The
Long Road to Equality. Additional productions include the series
Junior Space Scientist as well as individual productions
on glaciers, bald eagles, democracy and civil liberties. Discovery
Education also offers classroom distribution of the television series
Mystic Lands and the television specials The Cost of Freedom
and The Magic Never Ends.
